Beauty and the Geek UK - Episode 1
In the first episode, we get introduced to the 7 beauties and the 7 geeks. They arrive at the castle and find out exactly why they are all there, what the program is all about and that there is a £40,000 prize.
The beauties and geeks take it in turns to introduce themselves to the other group who then decide between them who will pair up with who.
Hayley picked David.
Jamie picked Natalie.
Teri picked John.
Ben picked Ellisa.
Alex picked Will.
Philip picked Carrie.
Which left Sam & Ed.
After pairing up, each couple then had to choose a room. Three contained two singles and were picked first whilst the others had only a double bed in.
The first challenge was delivered by Gates the butler. The beauties were to face a spelling test followed by a general knowledge quiz. Then the couples had to put together a dance routine to perform later that night.
Natalie won the spelling and general knowledge task and Ben won the dance task. This meant these two couples were immune from elimination and each had to nominate one other couple to face elimination.
Ben & Elissa nominated David & Hayley.
Natalie & Jamie nominated Philip & Carrie.
In the elimination, each contestant had to answer 3 random questions. The beauties on material from their earlier revision packs and the geeks on celebrity trivia.
After the beauties questions, it was 3-2 to Philip & Carrie. Philip then got all 3 of his answers wrong and David got 2 correct meaning David & Hayley survived and Philip & Carrie were eliminated.
